Well...Welcome Folks :~)

WOW …What on earth am I doing?…Never once earth, in a million years would I have thought of making my own blog (well maybe at some point but I doubt it) although I loved looking at blogs, but then again never on earth would I have thought I’d be doing most of what I am doing now, even though I kinda dreamed of some of it, the way stuff happened- I never had thought of. Really, life just didn’t happen as I would have expected in general-which isn’t necessarily bad pre say, but if you are at all anywhere near the being a analytical type( well even if not)-I think at some point probably everyone would like life to make a little more sense than it does. Still as some say, “God works in mysterious ways”, and regardless you believe in a God or not I think one up there is messing with me, and I like it. Some may call it odd luck or fate, and you have every right to but, my life at times is just, not as predictable as would have expected it, even if I had the basic direction in mind, even that doesn’t seem to go how I expect either-yet it works out.

Okay so why the name, or the Random part of it at least? Well because something’s seem random, yet purposeful and that is how my life it seems. How on earth did a Bajan girl-Canadian by birth, (born in Toronto/Canada,) with citizenship in Barbados (and Canada yes it is possible to have two of citizenships) raised in Michigan, but living in Ohio end up working at a Jewish organization headquarter in FL an online teacher for the Jewish heritage lessons, when she couldn’t have told you what matzo was to save her life which a few years before?  How on earth did I get hired for an online magazine in the past few weeks without ever leaving my house (seriously  since, it’s not like English class was ever the love of my life, far from it actually)?How  on earth did I end up in America at all for that matter? Yes, I’d call that (and my writing style for this post know that I think of it) “random” but ordered chaos.

 So, yes there is a lot of stuff going on but back the naming of the blog, as for the Goy part that is just a Jewish  nickname for a foreigner or non- Jew. It’s not a bad name or anything as some may think, it’s just that you are foreign, so that’s what’s up with that. As for the reason I picked this name, well actually it kinda just came to me one day “randomly” but for person as me whose life seems cluttered with seemly random events some positive some…not so much which ended up working out in the long run I think the name of that the blog “The Random Goy Girl” is a great name for the someone that kind of fell into a marketing role for a Jewish organization that is foreign to her. This blog is going to be somewhat random I guess and some marketing perhaps, we’ll see what happens. ;-)
